Chritmas Shoe Box Appeal

Christmas Shoe Box Appeal

Hart will go to the Scottish Parliament on Wedensday 25th November to help our heros. We were informed that some of the guys on the frontline have never received a parcell from home! this is because they have no family or have been in care for most of their lives.

So we have teamed up with Bob Doris MSP and the Scottish Parliament to help make sure troops on the frontline do not run out of essential supplies and know that people back home are thinking of them.

High Access Rescue Team want to do more for our heroes in the way of sending shoe boxes filled with items to Afghanistan to the current soldiers. Mainly for those who were in care prior to signing up and those who have been injured whilst there. These boxes are for males and females and could include the following items:

Books; magazines; socks; slippers; sweets; moisturiser; female toiletries; roll on deoderants; Christmas items; dvd's; cd's; shower gel; tooth brush; toothpaste; board games; cards; t-shirts; football items and items that remind them of home.

Ritchies training centre as you know is a resettlement training centre and Donald Ritchie will be largely involved in this appeal. I am hoping to bring on board soldiers that participated in the Help for Heroes weekend or someone from the army recovery centre that has been injured whilst serving in Afghanistan, all going well they might be able to come along to Parliament with HART.

We hope to collect as many as we possibly can and ship them off to reach the soldiers in time for Christmas. We believe that this is a cause that everyone will benefit from and should be proud to be a part of.

Thanks

Pamela (Hart Team)
